Tilling the soil, tilling the soil. Sometimes it’s like that’s all I ever do. I was rolling around on my red John deer thinking to myself about how I needed some excitement in my life when I stumbled upon something that made me jump about as high as I’ve ever jumped before.
“Ooch-ch-ch”! I hollered.
What in the world just bit my bottom?
“Hey there cutie, it’s me, Brandy. Why your acting like you gots a bur in your saddle. My deepest apologies, I didn’t mean to startle you, you just kind of backing into me and stepped on my toe."
“Oh pardon me, ma’am. I didn’t realize.“
I guess the excitement is just starting, I thought. Now, who do we have here? I guess I should introduce myself.
“Hi, I’m Herby the worm. Do you like to dance?”
“Nice to meet you, Herb, can I call you Herb? I’m a burdock, these prickly little pears are what help spread my seed so I can carry on. It sounds a little pesky, I know, especially for your dog. But if you look at my roots you will see that I am a great anti-inflammatory with antifungal and antibacterial abilities. No, really I have a lot of abilities, they're just hidden deep. And to answer your question, Herb, I love to dance!”
“Nice to meet you, Brandy, the burdock. You’re just the cup of tea I needed today”
