Cake


Make a healthier version of cake or muffin.

Why not!

I used to love to bake, with the traditional white flour and tons of sugar. I now feel bad for all the people I pushed my unhealthy treats upon so that I could have a hobby.

(sorry)

Try a different method that is not only not bad, but actually good for you.

(*Nutrient Dense) Use a whole grain flour like oats or whole wheat flour. Get rid of the cane sugar and use Raw honey

( start subtracting the amount you use every time you make it. If you are used to a lot of sweets then 3 tablespoons of honey may not fit your taste buds. But if you gradually use less and less they wont ever know).

Add something good. Beta carotene anyone?! Who doesn't love bananas!

Add nutrition so you are feeding your body what it needs while enjoying a tasty treat.

The egg Substatue I have started using is 3 tablespoons of water mixed with 1 tablespoon ground flax seed. Let the mixture sit for 10 mins and then dump it in, instead of an egg. What a great way to include flaxseed into your diet. I usually do not measure the flaxseed and end up with way more and it seems not to matter.

If you are someone who loves to eat the batter, then this is the perfect dish for you! No eggs, no worries. And you don't have to feel bad about eating it because you are eating good things.

Don't forget to eat the seeds!

Get some protein, folate, beta carotene, vitamin C, vitamin B1, fiber, iron, calcium, and potassium
