Homemade Pizza

Homemade Pizza

YUUUUMMMM

Another baking idea that is fun to make with your child, and delicious!

~ And making it from scratch means you can use all the nutritious ingredients you like. This is no stuffed crust Pizza Hut pizza, but we LOVE it. And it works great to take with on picnics and lunches.

For the crust I like to grind up some Old Fashion Oats and add Water, Oil, Salt, Herbs & Spices (i.e. pepper, oregano, garlic salt, turmeric, thyme, paprika).

(It works well without any yeast or sugar).

Bake the crust for a while, then add sautéed veggies on top and bake again.

This is a great way to get chopped up spinach and mushrooms in!

*This is a good way to get out the measuring cups and learn some fractions.

1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2

(I found using play-doh, and cutting it into pieces , helps visualize the concept of fractions)

OATS!

These tasty whole grains are packed with health benefits and help keep you and your child feeling full.

I don't know about you, but when I am hungry I am not my best self!

.

Adding oats to your diet will help regulate any spikes in blood sugar and mood, Energize you for the day and Enrich your body with lots of nutritional value.
